Since January 2008, I’ve had the opportunity to do a lot of impactful work with World Famous Fare. Looking back, there are so many projects and accomplishments that make me genuinely proud. Each restaurant in the group has its own identity—different vibes, menus, layouts, demographics, and goals—which has pushed me to be highly adaptable and strategic in my approach. I’ve been successful not just in elevating the brand of each location, but in improving operations and increasing profitability. That’s what truly sets me apart from the average designer or marketer.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to see things from the guest’s perspective—whether it’s someone walking into one of our restaurants or scrolling through our social media. That mindset allows me to shape experiences that feel authentic, inviting, and intentional. Of course, part of the job also means balancing that creative vision with the expectations of ownership and leadership. Even when I don’t always agree with their direction, I’ve learned how to navigate those dynamics while still delivering results that align with both the brand and the bottom line.

A Lifelong Passion for Design
From a young age, I was drawn to the world of graphics and visual storytelling. My journey began in my grandparents’ sign shop, where I was given a front-row seat to the creative process. I vividly remember standing on a stool, carefully lining up measurements to lay down vinyl lettering on a banner—my first real taste of hands-on design. My grandfather instilled in me the fundamentals of craftsmanship and attention to detail—skills that continue to shape my work today.
Creativity runs deep in my family. My mother owned a pioneering custom canopy company, one of the first in the industry to offer branded, full-color printed canopies. Watching her innovate and build something truly unique showed me the power of combining passion with entrepreneurship.
That same spirit led me to launch my own clothing line and screen printing business at just 21 years old. I was ambitious, fearless, and maybe a little naïve—but the lessons I learned during that time were invaluable. While I didn’t yet have the resources to fully realize that dream, the experience laid the foundation for everything I’ve built since.
That experience ultimately led me to where I am today. After three years of running my screen printing business—learning the ins and outs of design, production, and entrepreneurship—I had my share of wins and setbacks. I was young, driven, and still finding my footing. One day, a former college classmate reached out for help creating a logo for a social platform he was building—something geared toward Chico State students and local businesses, right after the rise of MySpace and just before Facebook took off. I quickly pulled a logo together for him, and he was blown away by how naturally it came together. Without hesitation, he offered me a job working with a restaurant group where he had connections—he was helping them with their websites and thought I’d be a great fit as an in-house designer. At first, I said no—I was still determined to chase my own dream—but the idea of doing what I loved with the support of a steady paycheck started to make a lot of sense. Eventually, I said yes—and that decision changed the trajectory of my career.
